Using col A and 4.5 mm circular needles, cast on 268 (292) 316 sts. Change to col B and work WELTS in the round:

Rnds 5 – 6: Change to col A and knit 2 rnds.
Change to col B).
Rep brackets until edge measures approx. 5.5 (7) 8.5 cm and 3 (4) 5) repeats have been worked in height.

Rep rnds 1 – 4 in welts and col B.

Change to col C and 6 mm needles and K2tog on entire rnd, so number of sts is halved t 134 (146) 158 sts.

SLEEVES both alike

P 20, bottom of 1st column:
Change to col C and 6 mm needles and inc evenly spaced to 31 (34) 44 sts.
Mark 2 sts under sleeve and inc around these:
Size. S: On every 6th and 8th rnd alternately 10 times in total
Size M: On every 4th and 6th rnd alternately 14 times in total.

Sleeve now measures approx. 40.5 (42) 43.5 cm and there are 51 (62) 72 sts on rnd.
Cast off the 2 marked sts + 2 sts on either side of these (= 6 sts in total).

Place front's 71 (77) 83 sts – one sleeve's 45 (56) 66 sts – back's 71 (77) 83 sts and the other sleeve's 45 (56) 66 sts on a circular needle.
